Description
Domperidone+Pantoprazole is indicated in the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (acid reflux) and Peptic ulcer disease. Domperidone+Pantoprazole is a fixed-dose combination of two drugs: Domperidone and Pantoprazole. Domperidone is a prokinetic and acts on the upper part of the digestive tract to enhance the movement of the stomach and intestines, helping the food move more smoothly through the stomach. Pantoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that decreases the amount of acid in the stomach, which contributes to the relief of acid-related indigestion and heartburn. Take it one hour before meal time, ideally in the morning. It is a well-tolerated drug and gives long-lasting relief. Long-term use may lead to weak bones and mineral deficiency, like magnesium. Take proper dietary intake of calcium and magnesium or their supplements as directed by your physician.
Pantoprazole: A proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that decreases the secretion of stomach acid. It is used to treat and prevent ulcers in the stomach and duodenum (the first portion of the small intestine), and to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), also called heartburn.
Domperidone: A prokinetic drug that assists in enhancing the movement of food from the stomach and intestines. It is used to treat nausea and vomiting, and to ease pain brought about by indigestion, heartburn, and bloating.
How Does It Work?
Pantoprazole 40 mg + Domperidone 10 mg tablet is the combination of two salts: Pantoprazole 40 mg and Domperidone 10 mg. Pantoprazole 40 mg reduces the acid production in the stomach and Domperidone enhances the health of the intestines and stomach, thus preventing acid reflux to the food pipe.
